Dr. Thomas Jacob, Faculty and researcher at Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, Oregon, USA visited the department on 3rd Dec.2011 and delivered a lecture on Nano Bio-markers and its applications. His speech gave insight to the wide opportunities in the field of life science research for basics bioscience graduates and post-graduate students. Faculty and students from Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics were attended the seminar. Dr. Thomas is an alumnus of the College. He took graduation in Botany from the department of Botany in 1993.
