The Economics Association was inaugurated by Dr. M.S James (Former HOD, SB College Changanassery) on 24th July 2010. His inaugural address on INDIAN FOOD SECURITY ACT which is proposed to be passed in the Parliament was very informative . The relevance, merits and shortcomings of this Act were also highlighted. The “July Volume of BusiNews”, the monthly Newsletter of the Department, was also released during this occassion. Dr. T. Thomas philip, our beloved Principal handed over the first copy to Dr. M. S James.

The function was followed by the Welcome party for the freshers. The event titled “Join Avec nous” was based on the story of “Shakunthalam” and was funfilled. The party was concluded with an exciting and well choreographed dance by the IIIrd year boys.
