Achievements

Twenty nine university ranks bagged in the past forty five years since inception.
During the last five years, the department bagged ranks in the university examinations consecutively both in the B.A as well as M.A examinations.
Runs the only dual Degree programme in the state that offers the three years Advanced Diploma in Archaeology and Museology along with B.A in History.
The B.A History programme at Union Christian College is a highly sought after course. The students from the department have been generating consistently meritorious achievements and emerge as toppers after competing with a vast number of students from many other colleges under the university. Many toppers pursue post graduate studies in the same department.
Many former students pursue/ completed higher studies from prestigious institutions like JNU, Hyderabad Central University, and the Paris Museum of Natural History. Many students pursue research.
Many serve in varied positions both administrative and academic.
