History Association: this is a regular feature of the department. Last year, several competitions were conduced among the students of the department. There were essay competitions, debate and quiz porgrammes held in August. Ms Anns Therese Varghese bagged the Outstanding Student award.

Conservation Laboratory

Facilities to conserve museum objects, restoration, offers consultancy in designing small museums, and for the listing and maintenance of the historical  buildings within the campus. Field lab kit is available for conducting regular archaeological field studies and the artifacts collected are consolidated in the lab before displaying in the museum.

Consultancy Services: The museum has been selected as one of the participatory institutions in the National Mission for Monuments and Antiquities, a government of India initiative run by the Archaeological Survey of India. This project covers listing the antiquities in the  museum, in reserve collections and also the heritage mapping of the campus.

Alumni

The alumni of the department have been the greatest sources of inspiration and strength. Annual get togethers are conducted and most former batches conduct their own reunions in the college campus. A few have instituted endowments and have voluntarily served the department and the college.
