4 September, 2010: The girls took the campaign as a welcome opportunity and held a rally along the road outside the campus and tried to convey the message of saving energy with the aid of banners and placards. The rally caught wide attention and this inspired the cadets to conduct a door-to-door campaign in the neighbourhood. They visited around 50 houses in the nearby Housing Board Colony (KKP Nagar) and 27 shops located near UC College. Here the cadets spoke to the residents, shop-owners and customers about the necessity of saving all forms of energy for a better tomorrow. The cadets also did a remarkable job of enlightening the people about various methods of prevention of wastage as well as preservation of energy.
