“Awareness on Cyber Crimes & Laws”

We are aware that the problems caused by misuse of ICT is on the rise recently. In an attempt to make the youth aware of the ill-effects of misusing the technology, we arranged a talk by Sri. Francis Pereira, Sub Inspector of Police, Cyber Cell on 30 Sep, 2011. Various cases that the resource person narrated not only shocked the audience, especially the girl students, but also opened their eyes to the harsh realities of the society. He also provided them with legal awareness to tackle the issue.

“Road Safety Awareness Seminar”

It is a well known fact that road accidents are claiming the most umber of lives in Kerala, especially of the youth. Therefore, we joined hands with Kerala Kaumudi and organised a Seminar on Road Safety on 29 July, 2011. Sri. V.D. Satheesan, MLA inaugurated the seminar and various Officers from the Office of the RTO & Motor Vehicle Department spoke at the occasion. Also, CQMS Anjali K was honoured by Sri.V.D. Satheesan, MLA for winning Gold Medal in Cultural Competitions at Republic Day Parade Competitions, New Delhi-2011.

“Spreading awareness about Ragging”

A talk was organised for the first year UG students on 18 July, 2011 to make them aware about the laws that exist to curb the menace of ragging. The resource person was Sri. N. Sivadas, DYSP, Immigration Dept. CIAL.
