Vineetha George-She was selected as the Best Player(Soft Ball)During the 32nd Senior National Softball Championship for men and women 2011.It was organised by the Chandigarh Amateur Softball Association at Chandigarh.Therwere 21 teams with 15 members each

SEMINARS/ WORKSHOPS ATTENDED BY STUDENTS (2010-2011)
1. A 2 day seminar and workshop was conducted by the zoology Dept. of Morning Star college for women Angamaly. Four Students attended and were awarded certificates of participation (Parvathy Surendran ,Kranthi, Surya Babu and Pibini). Being inspired they also started their own Vermicomposting unit in their house premises.
2. A seminar and Workshop on Biotechnology was conducted by the Zoology dept. of M.A college Kothamangalam. Six students participated (Niyas, Parvathy, Kranthi, Priya and Swathy).
3. A two day symposia on Biodiversity was conducted by the Zoology dept. of St. Albert’s College, EKM. 28 Students of 3rd BSc participated.
4. A seminar on Genome Project was conducted by Presidency College, N. Parvoor. Firoz of 2nd zoology attended.
5. Surya Babu of 2nd zoology participated in the power point presentation on Global Warming conducted by Assumption College, Changanassery.
6. All the students of Zoology dept. were taken for 1 day study tour on 22nd
September 2010 to Aiswarya Gram Kanjoor, Manuel Quail Hatchery , Kodnad and Iringole Kavu.
