Field Trip to Union Christian College, Aluva

On October 24, 2024, the Social Science Club of Darussalam High School organized a field trip to Union Christian College, Aluva, as part of the October Campaign. The trip was designed to offer students an educational experience combining history, science, and creativity.

The key highlights of the field trip included:

1. Exploring Gandhi Mavu: Students visited the famous Gandhi Mavu, a mango tree planted by Mahatma Gandhi.

2. The students visited Important Science Labs at Union Christian College
– Botany Lab
– Zoology Lab
– Biotechnology Lab

3. Archeological Museum Visit: The students explored the Archeological Museum on the college campus, where they had the chance to see historical artifacts and learn more about ancient cultures.

Dr. Sunil Abraham Thomas, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Economics, Union Christian College Aluva coordinated the visit. Prof. (Dr.) Mini Alice, Principal, Union Christian College Aluva, Dr. K.P. Ouseph IFS, Manager, Union Christian College, Dr. Twincy Varghese, Coordinator, Gandhi Darshan Club, Union Christian College, Faculty of various departments and students of the college interacted with the team from the school. A sapling grafted from the Gandhi Mavu was presented to the school by the college on the occasion.
