“Fundamentals of Accounting and Compliances using Tally” The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) at UC College successfully conducted a one-day workshop titled “Fundamentals of Accounting and Compliances using Tally” on October 19th, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the PGN Language Lab. The session was led by Mr. Santhosh H., an expert in accounting systems and Tally software. This workshop aimed to create an effective ecosystem on campus for smooth and systematic management of accounts and office automation processes.

Dr. Jibin Jose Mathew, the nodal officer of IEDC, began the session by presenting various opportunities provided by IEDC and Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) for students, faculty, and office staff to become entrepreneurs. He outlined the importance of mentor support, company registration, and the availability of funds and schemes from KSUM that can help build a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem. Additionally, Dr. Jibin highlighted how Tally software can be used not only by startups but also by office staff who can pursue roles such as company secretaries and GST filing officers, which will benefit both students and the broader community.
Dr. Jibin also emphasized the importance of administrative offices in IEDC and the college, particularly in implementing efficient office automation processes. The Principal Prof. Dr. Mini Alice then spoke about the significance of digital tools like Tally in daily operations and how automation would enhance campus activities. She expressed her best wishes for the program and encouraged IEDC members to lead in implementing office automation initiatives
