The Indian Academy of Sciences Bangalore, Indian National Science Academy New Delhi, and The National Academy of Sciences India, Allahabad in association with Union Christian College Aluva (Department of Psychology, Zoology and BioSciences) are conducting a 2-day virtual workshop on ” Current trends in brain development and Behaviour”.
Dr Edathil Vijayan FNASc is the convener and Dr Neelima Ranjith, Psychology department is the coordinator. Dr Vidita Vaidya, a Bhatnagar Awardee of TIFR Mumbai, will lead the sessions besides other lectures by eminent personalities.
The present lecture workshop will focus on brain development, how the brain changes with experience, neurobiology of emotions, brain and language development, reconstruction and neuroplasticity, adult neurogenesis and novel treatment modalities for neuro-degenerative diseases and a better understanding of autism and other brain malfunctions.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Life Sciences and Psychology, Researchers, faculty, Practicing doctors in the field, etc. Selection will be on the basis of ‘first come first served’. Prior registration will be required and the actual webinar link will be sent 24 hours prior to the webinar.
