MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (MDP) FOR NON TEACHING STAFF

The Management Development Programme (MDP) for the Non Teaching Staff of Union Christian College, Aluva was held on October 14, 2023 in the auditorium of Aeli Hills, Aluva. The programme aimed to enhance skills and foster better interpersonal relationships among staff members.

The program commenced with registration at 9.30 am. The inauguration session at 10 am began with a welcome speech by Mr Soni Varughese, Senior Superintendent. Dr M I Punnoose, the Principal, inaugurated the event and shared insights during his inaugural address. Rev Thomas John, the Manager, delivered a felicitation address.

Dr. P V Joseph, the Resource Person of the programme, a distinguished HR trainer, led the sessions focusing on communication skills, smooth workflow, effective work culture fostering. Dr. Joseph, a former Professor in Chemistry of Maharaja’s College, captivated the audience with insights on effective communication, streamlining workflow, and nurturing a positive work culture. His expertise left a lasting impact on the attendees, encouraging active participation and a collaborative learning environment.

The participants actively engaged in the sessions, showcasing their enthusiasm for learning and professional development. The program provided a valuable opportunity for everyone to learn, grow, and strengthen the bond within the team. The tea and lunch breaks also facilitated informal interactions, fostering a sense of camaraderie among the staff members.

The concluding session at 3:00 p.m. involved valuable feedback from the attendees. The feedback session allowed attendees to express their thoughts and opinions about the program openly. Participants appreciated the content, organization, and effectiveness of the sessions. Many highlighted the practicality of the knowledge shared and expressed eagerness to implement the learning in their work.

Mr Crismon Thomas, Secretary, UC College Non Teaching Staff Association, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Dr P V Joseph, the College authorities, the organizing committee, and all participants for making the event a meaningful and productive experience.
