The first external mentor class for the Walk With A Scholar Programme mentees belonging to the first year and second year was initiated with the class by an illustrious senior civil service officer who also inherit an impeccable academic past, on 21.11.2015. The resource person was Dr. Sibichen K. Mathew, I.R.S, Commissioner of Income Tax and Advisor to TRAI, Government of India. The first session was for second year mentees and the topic was “10 insights for excellence” and the second one for the first year mentees, the topic was “Powerful leaders for tomorrow”. The meeting before the commencement of the class was presided over by the Principal, Dr. P.Thomas Mathew who in his message called upon the students to take full benefits from the programme, especially in the context of massification in higher education. Dr. Alex Mathew and Dr. Reshmi. R welcomed the gathering in the respective sessions and introduced the speaker. The mentees freely interacted with the speaker, who also gathered feedback from the senior mentees during the session. Dr. Sebastian Joseph, Coordinator of the programme, Mr. Kurian C. Soman, Ms. Nino Baby, Ms. Anu Jose and Ms.Ann George, internal mentors of the programme were present during the event.
