Department of Physical Education organized an Orientation programme “How to become a good athlete” to our BSM and Sports Students on 12th July 2024 at VM Hall from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The event was designed to promote community sports, encourage student engagement in sports, prevent sports injuries and aware about sports nutrition.
Sri.P. A Salimkutty (Former Santosh Trophy Player and Social Worker) shared his community sports experience and Dr.Ajeesh T Alex (Sports medicine Specialist) lead a session on Sports Injuries and Balanced Diet. Principal Dr.Mini Alice inaugurated the programme and Dr.Bindu M (HOD,Physical Education express her thoughts regarding the topic.Dr.Rejeesh T Chacko (Asst.Professor) formally welcome the dignitaries and the participants , Mr.Akash Joby (BSM Student) delivered the vote of thanks.Sri.Ajai Gopal (BSM Faculty ) moderate the sessions.
The Sports Orientation Programme at Union Christian College was a successful and engaging event that achieved its objectives of introducing community sports and how to prevent sports injuries. The programme not only provided valuable information and hands-on experience but also helped build a supportive and active student community.
140 students from BSM and Sports were actively participated in the programme.
