VAZHAKKANNU- VEGETABLE GARDENING

The NSS unit of the college organised a one-day camp, ‘VAZHAKKANNU’, on 28 August 2019 to train and motivate the volunteers to take up vegetable gardening. 120 NSS volunteers participated in the camp and planted 110 banana saplings, 65 tapioca stems and some vegetables. From this exercise the volunteers studied the art of cultivating plants and they developed the skills related to cultivation. The camp motivated the students to consider the self-employment opportunities of vegetable gardening. The students continued to nurture the plants and the yield was sold in campus.
