A leadership meeting was organized by the College, under the guidance of College Manager Rev. Thomas John at the YMCA Camp site, Thottumugham, Aluva on 6th July 2022. The purpose of this one-day leadership training camp was to equip student leaders with the necessary skills and foster a spirit of tolerance and open-mindedness when dealing with diverse perspectives.
Event Highlights:
Inauguration:
Rev. Thomas John inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of embracing diverse viewpoints while maintaining strong personal convictions. He encouraged the student leaders to be open-minded and receptive to differing opinions.
Participation:
A total of 53 student leaders, representing various student associations and club leaders, actively participated in the training program. The student union leaders, as well as leaders of different college clubs, were among the attendees.
Leadership Training:
The leadership training program was led by former student and alumni leader Mr. Surya Abraham, who shared his experiences and insights into effective leadership. He stressed the need for student leaders to act as unifying forces and catalysts for positive change.
Principal’s Address:
Dr. M.I. Punnoose, the college principal, presided over the event and highlighted the significance of leadership in a college setting. He expressed his confidence in the participating student leaders and their potential to contribute to the betterment of the college community.
The Administrative Dean, Dr. Mini Alice, and the Staff Council Secretary, Dr. Vidyaravindranathan, were present and actively contributed to the discussions during the event. Their presence added value to the training program.
Conclusion:
