Union Christian College enters into collaboration with IUP

Department of Biosciences, Union Christian College (UCC) on Saturday signed MoU with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA (IUP) for academic collaboration and student exchange program from next academic year onwards.

College authorities said that the MoU aims to promote excellence and impart knowledge and skills in the broad areas of Microbiology and Biotechnology, between the two institutions. The collaboration will be between the Biology Department of IUP and the Biosciences Department of UCC. As per the MoU, students from the Biosciences Department of UCC will be entitled to pursue advanced hands-on training in Microbiology and Biotechnology, especially in Genomics and Proteomics at IUP Campus, USA every year. Interested students can also pursue their masters / doctoral program at IUP, subject to the conditions laid down in the MoU.
