About the Club

The One Touch Pain and Palliative Care Club was founded during the academic year 2012–2013 by a group of passionate students from the Department of Psychology. What started as a student initiative has now grown into a college-wide movement, with nearly 100 active volunteers dedicated to bringing hope, compassion, and healing to those in need.

Many individuals become bedridden or differently-abled due to accidents or chronic illness. Our club creates opportunities for them to connect, share, and heal—organizing interactive gatherings where patients can meet others in similar situations and build lasting friendships with students. These events offer emotional upliftment and a renewed sense of self-worth to patients.

We collaborate with leading organizations such as:

  • Rajagiri Palliative Care Unit

  • Kerala State Wheelchair Association

  • Hope Child Cancer Care Foundation

Our volunteers not only provide meaningful service but also develop empathy, compassion, and a balanced worldview through real-life experiences.

The club is supported by generous contributions from teaching and non-teaching staff, yet the growing number of people in need calls for more hands and hearts.

Objectives

  • Provide care and emotional support to specially-abled individuals and their caregivers.

  • Promote mental health and well-being, especially among the youth and elderly, through guidance and counseling.

  • Organize volunteering activities for people with chronic illnesses.

  • Encourage active youth participation in service-oriented programs and community welfare.
