Obituary Note

His Grace Most Rev Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom Mar Thoma, one of our distinguished alumni, whose love for the college has been beyond measure, passed away during the early hours today. He turned 104 years old a few days back. He has made an indelible mark in the cultural history of Kerala, respected beyond all religious and other sectarian barriers. The College pays homage to his revered memory and joins the Mar Thoma Church community in its grief. Though his prophetic voice is stilled, it should echo through all of us who love him in the cultural life of Kerala. His demise during the centenary year is a big loss and give us reason for one of our projects to be named after him. We thank God for his life and witness.
