International Education Conclave

Union Christian College , Aluva organised an international educational conclave , ‘Responding to Global Dynamics: A Dialogue on Strategies for Enhancing Global Competitiveness in Higher Education’ on 16th January, 2025.

Prof. Philip G Altbach( Boston College, USA) and Prof N V Varghese( Director, CPRHE, New Delhi) were the key speakers. Dr. Rajan Varughese, (Member Secretary, KSHEC) made the introductory remarks. The session was moderated by Mr. Alwin Alexander, (Assistant Professor, UC College, Aluva).

Prof. Altbach examined how global trends such as geopolitical tensions and internationalization are reshaping higher education and their specific implications for India. Prof Varghese explored how Kerala can leverage its strengths, including an active diaspora and a robust education system, to adapt to changes like the shifting patterns of student mobility. The dialogue was followed by an interactive session.
