Environment Day Celebrations

The 7 K Girls NCC subunit of the college carried out several activities in connection with the World Environment Day – Mission Life 2023. Complying to this year’s tagline Beat Plastic Pollution the unit conducted Beach cleaning drive at Kuzhuppilly beach in association with the Social Forestry department of Ernakulam, distributed cloth bags, paper bags and paper pens in and around the campus. Cadets also collected plastic pens from the college community for recycling. Crafts created out of plastic waste were distributed by our cadets among the kids in the College run crèche. The subunit also organised a photography competition on the theme Shades of Creation. A campus cleaning drive was also initiated.
The sub unit also joined in the cleaning drive organised by Minister P. Rajeev at Kalamassery constituency on June 4, 2023. All the cadets took pledge to protect and preserve the nature as part of 21 day challenge initiated by Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change ‘Lifestyle for the Environment’.
